Co-creating export with the CBI

Together with the CBI – Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries, we hosted an for Nigerian and organisations to discuss to European countries and , digital , and (digital) food . This event was held in Rotterdam in the Van Nelle factory on the 5th of December.

The goal of the CBI, also known as the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries, is to support the transformation towards inclusive and sustainable economies. The CBI enhances the , economic, and environmental of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMEs) in .

The morning was divided into 3 sections;

  • Food Safety basics
  • export status companies
  • Lunch and graduation ceremony

Lecture Food Safety Basics

In the lecture on food safety basics, multiple topics concerning food safety were discussed to ensure everyone has the same level and understanding of food safety. The was based on the following presentation.

Workshop export status companies

In the following workshop, the representatives of the Nigerian companies, as well as representatives of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, discussed the status of their organisation as well as long-term goals for the food , such as getting certified, , , BRC, IFS, G.A.P. or in general. Each organisation will get a follow-up to elaborate more on their goals.

Lunch and graduation ceremony

After the busy morning, there was time for lunch and time to ask . All participants received a certificate on Food Safety Basics.
